Did You Know....

1. As of May 1, 2008 all Paralegals and Court Agents must be licensed to practice in Ontario. They are also required to carry Errors and Omissions insurance and be a member of the Law society of Upper Canada.
   
   If you wish to check whether a paralegal is licensed you can go to the website of the Law Society of Upper Canada to find a licensed paralegal in your area.
   
   
2. As of May 1, 2007 All Paralegals ( Agents) must register and carry Errors and omissions insurance and abide by the by-laws set by the Law Society of Upper Canada.

   This is a first in Ontario that all Paralegal will need to be licensed by 2008. They will need to submit their applications and take a test in order to qualify for their license.
